A Bit About Me

Every opportunity to use my talent excites me as I truly love what I do. I completely appreciate every second of my life’s visual journey. The clouds, the shadows, colours, reflections, whatever the images, I aspire to capture them in my mind and in some form of media for others to enjoy. Not just looking, but truly seeing.

I am a graduate of Technical Illustration at Sheridan College, Ontario Canada. After a few years as an Ad Agency artist, I decided to embark as a freelance artist and have been ever since, now 25 years. I work with my brother; Mark Janeck (www.janeck.ca) on many commissions and paint in oil for fun.

I am also now fortunate to be able to “give back” by passing on my passion to the young, teaching in the Art Fundamentals Program at Sheridan College. My goal is to show students how to further their drawing skills using perspective and various drawing systems. I feel I have the best of both worlds, working through my own passionate journey AND helping those who are just embarking on theirs. We all learn through each other.

I also run a DIY blog with a wide variety of projects. It’s instructional, creative and easy! Anyone can become a handmade expert. Check it out:

WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU

Watercolour Concepts
Oil Paintings
Technical Illustration

I am predominantly a traditional artist, as nothing can quite imitate the feeling of pencil to paper or brush to canvas. I do however love to use the Mac as a valuable tool to manipulate or publish work. Architectural and technical illustration is my specialty. The majority of my work consists of renderings, artist concepts for builders and developers however, I have also illustrated books and magazines.
